Undergraduate Programs at SACI
Immerse yourself in the culture and community of Florence in a study abroad program that will change the way you think about art.
Merging disciplines and emphasizing the critical role of art and design both socially and environmentally, SACI’s innovative undergraduate programs offer rare opportunities to experience one of the great artistic and cultural centers of the world not as a tourist, but as a resident.
In Florence, you’ll engage with a thriving local art community that is rich in both Renaissance and contemporary art forms. Partnerships with local museums, galleries, and artists provide hands-on field experience through class projects and design internships. SACI-supported volunteer opportunities offer even more connection and involvement in the city. You’ll also have numerous travel opportunities, as part of class field trips with faculty to visit other famous cities in Italy.
As a student at SACI, you’ll find a supportive learning environment where you can be creative, discover your passion, and define your own path. You’ll work closely with deeply committed faculty members from the art community in Europe, and have opportunities to explore unique course options covering contemporary and traditional subjects such as digital multimedia, photography, fresco painting, video, sculpture, jewelry design, and more. At the same time, you’ll work with people from diverse cultural backgrounds, take in new perspectives, and gain new skills and insights that will help you grow as an artist and as a person. You’ll take back with you a new sense of confidence and discovery, along with personal and professional connections that will last a lifetime.
