A Photographer's Paradise: MFA Students Explore Abruzzo, Italy

SACI MFA in Photography students visit the stunning region of Abruzzo, Italy

From Friday, April 5th to Sunday, April 7th, SACI MFA in Photography students had the opportunity to visit Abruzzo, a region of Italy east of Rome, with program co-director Romeo Di Loreto. During the trip, they visited the breathtaking natural reserve of Valle Peligna to photograph the impresive landscapes of the countryside, as well as small towns throughout the area.

Our MFA in Photography students have the chance to visit many locations in Italy and Europe during their time at SACI. During their two years in the program, students visit photography festivals, art fairs, and exhibitions at destinations such as Venice, Paris, Bologna, Lucca, Milan, and Rome, among others. Many field trips also focus on visiting “The Folds of Italy,” or less-frequently traveled areas of the country.
