Studying Abroad at SACI as a Non-Credit Student
Not actively pursuing a degree but interested in exploring education overseas? Non-credit studies at SACI offer the opportunity to experience culture and life in Florence, Italy, while attending one of the top American art schools in Europe.
During July, you can study abroad at SACI as a non-credit student and take one class selected from our courses in studio art, design, art conservation, art history, and Italian language and culture. As a non-credit student, you’ll attend classes along with regularly-enrolled students and attend lectures, gallery openings, open drawing sessions, film nights, and Sunday field trips to sites throughout Tuscany. You’ll also have full use of the SACI Worthington Library and computer resources.
Timing and Course Options
You can enroll for either a two-week or four-week program, beginning at the end of June and running through July. We currently offer the following courses for non-credit students:
- Conservation I
- Visual Design
- Fresco Painting
- Italian Language
- Photography (Black-and-White)
- Renaissance Art History Survey
Housing and Costs
SACI housing is available for students joining our four-week non-credit study program. If you plan to study abroad for two weeks, please email the SACI Housing Director about availability of SACI housing during your stay.
