"There is nothing like teaching what you know to discover what you don’t." - Michael Reali

Partner and Head of Design at Lotrek digital agency, Michael Reali has worked for two decades in most fields of graphic design for a wide array of clients: from software to fashion, from the public administration to the food industry, and from manufacturers to pharmaceutical companies.

Michael Reali teaches MFA in Communication Design Studio Co-Requisite I at SACI. His passion for web and graphic design began in the early days of the web in Italy. What started as a game and personal challenge slowly became a livelihood. He worked as a freelancer during the first part of his career, designing logos, websites, and packaging. He is now the Art Director of the fresh, up-and-coming Lotrek, a digital agency in Pistoia. As an art director, he leads a team of talented designers, helping them produce their best work under pressure.

Michael loves the intricate, mathematical side of coding, the beauty and endless expressions of type, and the freedom of free hand illustration.

Michael Reali has a Laurea in Scienze della Comunicazione, University of Siena. In 2007 he completed an MFA in Computer Art from Tracor, the Communication Arts Institute in Madrid.

Teaching Philosophy
Teaching has always been one of my passions. There is nothing like teaching what you know to discover that there is always more to learn. Curious by nature, I’m always looking to hone my skills and find new and interesting ways to design in today’s multidisciplinary work environment. I encourage an open dialogue with my students, hoping to learn from them and their questions.
