Food is a fantastic vehicle to analyze and understand Italian Culture and Society. While speaking of Italy’s cuisine, Cinema History instructor Tina Fallani will touch on the relationship between Italian traditions, folklore and contemporary Italian society. The presentation in SACI’s Clayton Hubbs Lecture Hall will be followed by dinner at Trattoria Palle D’Oro, where students will have the opportunity to taste some of Florence’s traditional dishes with an explanation of their history.
