This field trip to Rome is also open to students not enrolled in the High Renaissance Art History class. There is no fee for students enrolled in the class. Other students are welcome to join the group for a fee of €285 (to be confirmed).
Students will see High Renaissance masterpieces by Michelangelo, Raphael, and Bramante as well as Baroque works by Caravaggio, Bernini, and Borromini. They will visit the Vatican, St. Peter's, Farnesina (frescoes by Raphael), S. Pietro in Montorio (Tempietto by Bramante), S. Pietro in Vincoli (Moses), Borghese Gallery, Piazza Navona, S. Luigi dei Francesi (Caravaggio), S. Maria del Popolo (Caravaggio and Bernini), Pantheon, Colosseum, Forum, and Tivoli.
