This course is designed to be used as a focal point for conservation students interested in archaeology or archaeological conservation. Work focuses on the practical conservation of artifacts using original Etruscan pieces from Italian official excavations and from archaeological museums. A wide range of objects presenting different conservation problems is available. More advanced students have the possibility of being introduced to methods of bronze and metal restoration. Field trips to dig sites are scheduled when possible.
