SACI Artists & Designers Council Member Jim Dine Exhibits at Accademia Nazionale di San Luca

JIM DINE. HOUSE OF WORDS. The Muse and Seven Black Paintings, works by SACI Artists & Designers Council member Jim Dine, is on view at the Accademia Nazionale di San Luca in Rome through March 5, 2018.

The exhibition, presented by the Accademia Nazionale di San Luca and the Richard Gray Gallery (Chicago/New York), celebrates the artist and exponent of Pop Art and the Neo-Dada movement Jim Dine. The show also celebrates Dine's election into the ranks of foreign academics at Accademia Nazionale di San Luca, representing the mutual exchange between the artist and the institution.

The show occupies the gallery on the ground floor of the Accademia and features the entire unprecedented paintings cycle known as Black Paintings, conceived in 2015 in his Paris studio. Also included in the exhibition is the installation The Flowering Sheets (Poet Singing), presented at the Getty Museum in Los Angeles in 2008.

The Accademia Nazionale di San Luca recently donated nearly 20 books in both English and Italian to the SACI Worthington Library, including many catalogues from past exhibitions.
