La Nazione

In the Florence edition of La Nazione on page 15 of Agenda Firenze (April 9, 2015), an article about SACI is featured with an image of Jules Maidoff. Translated into English, it reads: "Work of an alum purchased by Leonardo Di Caprio. The first 40 years of SACI. How to become an artist. Studio Art Centers International, based in Florence in Via Sant'Antonino and in Via Sant'Egidio, celebrates its birthday with a series of initiatives. Today at 4pm at Le Murate there will be a round table, The Artist as Teacher. The participants include Jules Maidoff (in the photo), founder of SACI. At 6pm the exhibition Long Distance will open, curated by Daria Filardo. Exhibiting are 8 American artists who have been attending the MFA in Studio Arts program. More than 10,000 students have attended SACI and some are now famous international artists. Of these, Jean-Pierre Roy, a student in 1994, who lives and works in New York. His work, entitled Nachlass (2015) and exhibited at the Pulse Art Fair in New York, was recently purchased by Leonardo Di Caprio, art lover and avid collector."
