Marco Klee Fallani was born in New York City, 1965. He attended the Istituto d’Arte di Porta Romana and the Accademia di Belle Arti in Florence. In 1990 he won a scholarship to study for a Masters of Fine Arts at California College of Arts, which he completed in 1993. He has participated in various exhibitions both in sculpture and painting, and has won the painting prize from the city of Lucca. Fallani has worked as set designer for Luca Ronconi’s production of Lo Specchio, he has collaborated in the making of the monument to Joe Louis for the city of Detroit, and he prepared the moulds and the plaster casts of the Guiglielmo pulpit for the Museo dell’Opera del Duomo of Pisa. Private works include a commissioned portrait, a bronze sculpture for German government official and paintings commissioned for private individuals for example Formula one race team owner Ron Dennis. His paintings and sculpture have been exhibited in Italy, the U.S. and the Netherlands. He designed the set for the Teatro Del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino production of the operatic version of
Maurice Sendak's book Where the Wild Things Are. In 2005 he was commissioned by Syracuse University for The Huntress, a life-size sculpture in terra cotta. In 2006 he realized a painting for the fashion company Le Gatte Jeans the painting was published and was exposed in a traveling show in all major city in Europe and Asia. In 2008 Fallani was commissioned by Gherardini Hand Bags a painting inspired from Leonardo’s Mona Lisa. The painting was used to make a hand bag that was sold internationally. The painting traveled in museums in Italy, France, and Japan, and was shown at the Leonardo Da Vinci Museum in Vinci. Fallani has been teaching painting, drawing and sculpture for SU Florence since 1993, and he coordinates placements in Florentine studios. He was comssioned a large sculpture for the main square Piazza Grande from the city of Arezzo, Italy. He has taught since 1987 in various schools in Florence and in the United States.
Marco Klee Fallani è nato a New York City il 14 aprile, 1965. Ha frequentato l’Istituto d’Arte di Porta Romana e l’Accademia di Belle Arti di Firenze. Nel 1990 ha vinto una borsa di studio per conseguire un Master of Fine Arts a California College of Arts, conseguito nel 1993. Ha partecipato in varie mostre sia di pittura sia di scultura, ed ha vinto il premio di pittura città di Lucca. Lavorò come scenografo per Lo Specchio di Luca Ronconi. Ha collaborato alla realizzazione del monumento a Joe Louis di Detroit. Realizzò le forme e i calci per il museo dell’Opera del Duomo di Pisa. Opere commisionate includono un ritratto in scultura di bronzo per uno Scenziato del governo Tedesco, e dipinti per altri individui privati tra cui Ron Dennis. Gli e’ stato commissionato un opera pittorica da “Gherardini”Il ricavato delle vendite sara’ devoluto al restauro di un opera agli Ufizzi. I suoi dipinti e le sue sculture sono state esibiti in Italia, gli Stati Uniti, Canada e in Olanda. Ha disegnato le scenografie per la produzione dell’opera musicale “Where the Wild Things Are” Teatro Del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino. Nel 2005 la Syracuse University gli ha commissionato una scultura di gradi dimensioni per il parco, eseguita in terra cotta. Tiene corsi di disegno e scultura per Syracuse University in Florence dal 1993, e dal 1996 al 2006 è il Coordinatore del dipartimento di Belle Arti.
