Opens April 18th, Thursday 7:00 pm ~ Gallery Exhibition Opening : Selected works by SACI Design (Fashion Design, Graphic Design and Illustration) and Book Arts students, and SACI students from Maryland Institute College of Art in the MICA Studios and SACI’s Maidoff Gallery in the Jules Maidoff Palazzo, Via Sant’Egidio, 14. (April 18-23)
Creative Writing Class Presentations & Video Screenings
April 19, Friday, 5:30 pm ~ Performance (in the Aula Bianco at the Jules Maidoff Palazzo): Oh, What Can’t a Woman Do?, Acting and text by SACI student Hilary Morrow. Project and mise en espace directed by SACI Acting instructor Cecilia Gallia.
Isabella Andreini (1562-1604) was a very famous actress and Commedia dell’Arte character. The Inamorata was named Isabella after her significant contribution to the character. She was also an accomplished and versatile writer, who struggled to be accepted in the academic world, where no woman had been admitted before.
April 25th, Thursday ~ In the Clayton Hubbs Lecture Hall at SACI’s Palazzo dei Cartelloni:
6:15-6:45 pm ~ Reading/Performance of works by SACI Creative Writing instructor Lee Foust and students in SACI’s Creative Writing class.
6:45 pm ~ Screening of Videos by SACI students.
