For the exhibition Artificio, the artist is exhibiting light-weight and transparent sculpture made with alumimun structure, iron, and acrylic paint, as well as paintings on paper, limited edition and unique artist books, and jewelry in silver and other materials.

Stefano Turrini was born in Figline Valdarno (Firenze), 1951. Since the early 1980’s he has exhibited his work in numerous group and solo shows, in private galleries and public institutions mainly in Italy, but also in France, Spain, and Switzerland. An eclectic artist, he uses paint and creates sculpture, artist books, and other methods of artistic expression. Turrini is involved with Art Brut, and at the end of the 1970s contributed to the foundation and growth of the center of expressive art, La Tinaia in Florence. He has collaborated with numerous poets and writers for his artist books.

In mostra sono esposte sculture leggere e trasparenti fatte di rete in alluminio rame, ferro e colore acrilico, opere pittoriche su carta, libri d’artista editi in tiratura limitata e in unica copia, e alcuni gioielli in argento e altri materiali.

Stefano Turrini nasce a Figline Valdarno (Firenze) nel 1951. Attivo fin dai primi anni ottanta, ha esposto in numerose mostre personali e collettive, in gallerie private e istituzioni pubbliche, prevalentemente in Italia ma anche in Francia, Spagna, Svizzera. Artista eclettico, utilizza la pittura, la scultura, i libri d’artista e altro per esprimersi. Si è occupato di arte marginale contribuendo alla fine degli anni settanta alla nascita e alla crescita del centro di attività espressive La Tinaia di Firenze. Ha collaborato con numerosi poeti e scrittori per i suoi libri d’artista.
